Andino Global wins handling contract at Lima airport

Saasa Global, a Peruvian subsidiary specialized in airport services of the Spanish group Andino Global, has been awarded a new handling contract at the Jorge Chavez International Airport in Lima (Aijch).

After being one of the three winning companies of the award called by Lima Airport Partners (LAP), Saasa will provide the apron ramp service for both commercial aircraft and freighters.

This project represents a new step for Andino Global since its constitution as a Spanish multinational and its listing on the Euronext Access+, which took place last January, according to the company in a statement.

With this award, Saasa will operate in three international airports: Mexico City, Lima and the recent tender it won for the construction of a new cargo terminal or warehouse at the Adolfo Suárez MadridBarajas Airport.

In this case, the contract in Lima has a period of validity until 2033, a period for which it has been assigned a special area in the new terminal of more than 6,000 square meters where it will offer ramp service to commercial aircraft, in addition to maintain the 500 square meter area in the current terminal to serve cargo planes.

In this way, Saasa, which has been operating in Aijch since 2015, will continue to serve clients such as Aercaribe, Air Europa, Boliviana de Aviación, Iberia, Jet Blue, Martinair and Volaris, among others.
