In this way, the company was able to finance the acquisition of the Marcona and Tres Hermanas wind farms.

The Banco de Crédito del Perú (BCP) granted a green loan for US$ 100 million to the electricity distributor Luz del Sur, for the development of renewable energy infrastructure in the country.

The financing granted has allowed the company to finance the acquisition of the Marcona and Tres Hermanas wind farms, located in Ica.

“We firmly believe that investments in renewable energy are not only an environmental necessity, but also a relevant economic decision,” commented César Stuart, Head of Corporate Banking at BCP.

The promotion of sustainable finance is part of BCP's sustainability strategy, which involves offering financial solutions that encourage its clients to enhance their positive socio-environmental impact and reduce their negative impact and exposure to climate change.
