Its order book rose by US$1.2 billion compared to 2022, reaching US$18.7 billion, the highest figure in the last six years.
The Brazilian manufacturer Embraer has managed to emerge from losses in 2023 after recording an attributable net profit of US$ 164 million for the year as a whole, compared to the 'red numbers' of US$ 185.4 million recorded at the end of 2022.
As the company announced today, Monday, sales exceeded US$5,268 million, which represents an increase of 16% compared to the previous year. However, in the fourth quarter, billing was 0.8% lower than that achieved in the same quarter of 2022.
Meanwhile, costs have experienced a year-on-year increase of 20% in 2023, reaching almost US$4,359 million.
By divisions, the commercial area is the one that has recorded the highest annual turnover, reaching US$ 1,846 million, with an increase compared to 2022 of 19.6%.
For executive aviation, Embraer invoiced 13.17% more year-on-year and in the services area 12% more. The increase in defense turnover was 24.9%.
Embraer's order book has increased by US$1.2 billion compared to the previous year, reaching US$18.7 billion, the highest figure in the last six years.
MULTIPLY ITS EBITDA BY SIX
For its part, the gross operating result (Ebitda) has been US$ 526.4 million, which represents more than multiplying the 2022 figure by six. The Ebitda margin was 561.9%, which is equivalent to 103 percentage points more than in the previous year.
Embraer has also managed to reduce its net debt by 21.6% since the previous year, reducing the figure to US$ 565.5 million at the end of 2023. The significant positive free cash flow generated in the fourth quarter explains the sequential improvement of the company's debt position.
By 2024, the Brazilian company expects to achieve a turnover of between US$6 billion and US$6.4 billion.
