Peru received more than one million international tourists in the first four months of the year, which represents an increase of 53.4% compared to the visitors who arrived in the Andean country until April 2023, as reported by the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism.

This result reflects the good performance that the sector has experienced so far in 2024, as it maintains the growth path and, at the same time, reinforces Peru against the main objective of the year, which is to reach pre-pandemic numbers.

"We are focusing all our efforts on closing 2024 with the arrival of 4.4 million international tourists. For this, the Government prioritizes the promotion of our heritage," highlighted the minister of the field, Elizabeth Galdo.
