Details of the properties owned by the Peruvian state oil company that will be put up for sale will be revealed in the coming days.

The Private Investment Promotion Agency (ProInversión) announced today that it will be responsible for the sale of Petroperú's non-strategic assets, and that in the coming days the two state entities will sign an agreement to finalize this assignment.

"Yes, we will sign an agreement with Petroperú. We are coordinating the details with the Ministry of Economy and Finance and Petroperú," said Luis Del Carpio, executive director of ProInversión.

"We are authorized to do so; we will be responsible for the sale of Petroperú's assets," he added.

Luis Del Carpio announced that in the coming days he will detail which non-strategic Petroperú assets will be put up for sale.

"We're still working on the final list, and we're still evaluating the valuation, but I hope to hold a press conference in the next few days announcing that we're going to sell the Petroperú properties," he said.

A few weeks ago, Petroperú's chairman, Alejandro Narváez, confirmed that 55 non-strategic assets that do not generate revenue for the oil company will be put up for sale.

"There are approximately 55 properties for sale; we have properties in San Isidro, land in Punta Sal, and Iquitos. All of these assets were scattered throughout the country, and previous administrations never took seriously what this company means to all Peruvians," he said.

Alejandro Narváez stated that Petroperú's 55 non-strategic assets will be sold and costs and expenses will be reduced by 30% through budget optimization, diversification of import sources, and improved management of crude oil and product purchases.
