The list is headed by Cantv, a state television station that in 2010 obtained revenues of Bs.F.13,835 million (more than US$3.2 billion), an increase of 17.7% compared to the previous year.

Business Venezuela magazine presented its ranking of the 100 largest companies in the country (TOP 100 companies), where telephone companies once again showed their excellent position.

1.- Cantv. The state company tops the list with profits in 2010 of Bs.F.13,835 million (more than US$3,200 million), an increase of 17.7% compared to the previous year.

2.- Movistar (Telefónica). The company increased its income 14.91% in 2010 to total Bs.F. 12,138 million (more than US$2,800 million). It has 3,214 employees.

3.- Commercial . The bank achieved revenues of Bs.F.7,423 million (more than US$1,725 million) in 2010, 64.18% more than in 2009. It has 9,304 employees.

4.- Banesco. The income of this financial institution increased 10.23% in 2010, reaching Bs.F.5,675 million (more than US$1,310 million). It is the bank with the most employees with 14,022 people.

5.- Famatodo . The store chain increased its income 41.76% last year, totaling Bs.F.5,642 million (more than US$1,300 million). It provides employment to 6,756 people.
