These volumes reflect the demand registered on its e-commerce platform Parts.Cat.Com (PCC) and its integrated purchasing system for large companies.

Through its online spare parts sales channels, Ferreyros, a Peruvian heavy machinery company, has exceeded US$263 million in the last five years. These volumes reflect the demand registered on its e-commerce platform Parts.Cat.Com (PCC) and its integrated purchasing system for large companies, as a result of a digitalization strategy aimed at creating value for customers throughout the country.

“Digitalization is key to our value proposition to customers and is evidenced in the wide adoption of our e-commerce platforms. Close to 50% of spare parts sales through Ferreyros stores in Peru are already carried out through the PCC platform, double what it was five years ago,” highlighted Alan Sablich Nairn, Marketing and Digital Business Division Manager at Ferreyros.

E-commerce offers customers greater speed and autonomy in their daily operations, and the versatility of access from anywhere, allowing them to optimize their workdays. “This efficiency, in turn, translates into more time available to them, reaffirming the positive impact of our digital solutions on users' quality of life,” said Sablich.

It highlights that, within the country, in recent years there has been a notable penetration in the use of PCC by Ferreyros clients. In the last year, this digital channel represented more than 80% of the sale of Cat parts in the southern branches, and in the northern ones, more than 60%. Likewise, in branches such as Huaraz, Cusco and Cerro de Pasco, the digital sale of spare parts through PCC reached close to 90%, and in the Arequipa and Moquegua branches, around 80%.

Expanding the digital horizon

Ferreyros complements its e-commerce channels with a series of digital solutions aimed at the management and maintenance of equipment for clients in the construction and mining sectors. Through the Ferreynet portal, users have the ability to request services, monitor repairs and use tools such as the 'Savings Calculator', facilitating the optimization of productivity and efficient monitoring of savings and delivery of spare parts.

On the other hand, its Monitoring Centers allow making recommendations to customers and contributing to maintenance management based on the conditions of their fleets. Likewise, with the relaunch of the VisionLink equipment management platform, customers now have new applications that provide analytical capabilities for managing their fleets.

Also notable is SIS2Go, a mobile application that provides direct access to Caterpillar's Service Information System (SIS), widely used by customers with Cat fleets, to consult technical information on equipment and spare parts of this brand.
