"The speed of change and recovery depends much more on you than you think," said the Minister of Economy, Luis Caputo.

The Minister of Economy of Argentina, Luis Caputo, has stressed that "the worst" has already passed, and the country is in "clear economic recovery."

Along these lines, Caputo explained that the speed of said recovery depends mainly on whether people, citizens and businessmen can be convinced. "The speed of change and recovery depends much more on you than you think," he noted.

This was stated this Wednesday within the framework of the Latam Economic Forum 'Where we are, where we are going', in which he analyzed the reforms that Argentina needs to consolidate the economic recovery.

In this sense, Caputo has indicated that the Government is providing the conditions and opportunities for this citizen and business behavior to contribute to the recovery being as rapid as possible "because people need it."

"Five months ago, 84% of the population thought that we were going to go into hyperinflation and now the majority of banks are giving mortgage loans for 20 and 30 years," the minister highlighted, while pointing out that the country went through from a five-point deficit to fiscal surplus in one month, trade surplus, current account surplus, and to single-digit inflation in April.

Finally, the minister has made a call to "recover the pride of being Argentine." "Know that you can count on us for this. And know that we also count on you to achieve it," he concluded.
