Government of Peru finances the airport operator with US$ 29.6 million for new investments

According to the standard, these are investments in airport equipment and infrastructure, necessary for the operation of the air terminals managed by the Peruvian Airports and Commercial Aviation Corporation (Corpac).

The Ministry of Transportation and Communications (MTC) of Peru approved the transfer of US$29.6 million in favor of the Peruvian Airports and Commercial Aviation Corporation (Corpac) to finance the acquisition of various equipment.

The measure was made official through Ministerial Resolution No. 310-2024-MTC/01, published today Wednesday in the Legal Standards Bulletin of the Official Gazette El Peruano.

According to the standard, these are investments in airport equipment and infrastructure, necessary for the operation of the air terminals managed by Corpac, as well as the concessioned airports in which it provides air navigation services.

The aforementioned resolution details that a lighting aid system will be acquired with an investment amount of more than US$ 3.4 million. Also an instrument landing system (ILS) and an approach distance measurement system (DME) with an investment of more than US$ 9 million.

Additionally, an aeronautical digital node will be acquired with an investment of more than US$8.3 million and an automatic weather observation system (AWOS) with an investment of more than US$8.6 million.

These purchases are framed in the Optimization, Marginal Expansion, Rehabilitation and Replacement Investments (IOARR) with Unique Investment Code (CUI) No. 2639348, 2638648, 2638831 and 2638574, within the framework of the provisions of the Law of Budget 2024.

The legal norm published today is signed by the Minister of Transportation and Communications, Raúl Pérez Reyes.
