Stark has been in charge of the company since the end of April as vice president.
The General Meeting of Shareholders of Petroperú appointed Oliver Thomas Alexander Stark Preuss as president of the Board of Directors of the State company, effective June 12.
In that same session, the General Shareholders' Meeting formalized the departure of Carlos Linares Peñaloza, as member and president of the Petroperú Board of Directors, after his resignation presented on April 26.
Stark Preuss, in his capacity as vice president, was in charge of managing the company since Linares Peñaloza left.
The new president of Petroperú has extensive experience in the private sector as director and manager in various mining companies.
His most recent position is that of director of the Sociedad Minera de Perú, where he has coordinated the general policy of the aforementioned company with the board of directors.
Likewise, he has a master's degree in Finance from the Universidad del Pacífico and a master's degree in National Development and Defense, Economic Development-Public Administration from the Center for Higher National Studies (CAEN).
