The disbursement of up to US$53 million will be allocated to this infrastructure, which will be strategically located near the main sea, land and air ports of Lima.

IDB Invest has granted a loan of up to US$53 million to Almacenes del Norte to increase access to logistics services in Lima, Peru, through a new industrial park called ADN Parque Logístico Callao, which will be developed in the Ventanilla district, in the Constitutional province of Callao. The financial package included the mobilization of US$20 million by CIFI Latam and CIFI Fund, an important international fund that invests only in sustainable projects.

This project will be the first sustainable logistics park in Peru and the first to introduce solutions in multiple and flexible formats, in line with new trends in international markets, helping to close the city's logistics infrastructure gap. It is a class A warehouse, which corresponds to a premium format and has a height of more than eight meters.

As part of its sustainable concept, the project includes various environmental measures such as energy efficiency systems that optimize the use of natural light, low-consumption LED lights, renewable energy generation through the use of solar panels and a water treatment plant. wastewater that will allow more than 28,000m2 of green areas to be irrigated with recovered water, among other measures that will make this project a benchmark in the environmental management of the storage and logistics industry.

The innovative infrastructure is strategically located near the main sea, land and air ports of Lima, so it will help decongest one of the most important commercial circuits in the country, improving efficiency and competitiveness in the market.

Likewise, the project is expected to have a positive impact on the community, generating more than two thousand direct jobs and many more indirectly, promoting the participation of local suppliers and service providers. ADN will prioritize the hiring of workers from communities neighboring the project. It is expected that this project will help consolidate the sector and surrounding areas, with an increase in security levels and the development of new services.

IDB Invest will offer advisory services to support ADN in obtaining the international BREEAM certification, which classifies the project as a sustainable building, as well as analyzing the viability of implementing a photovoltaic system on the roof of the warehouses, to cover energy needs. from the same logistics park. This shows IDB Invest's commitment to supporting the expansion of logistics infrastructure to boost the competitiveness of the countries in the region and regional integration.

This financing is expected to contribute to the following United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs): Affordable and clean energy (SDG 7), Decent work and economic growth (SDG 8), Industry, innovation and infrastructure (SDG 9) , Responsible production and consumption (SDG 12) and Alliance for the goals (SDG 17).
