Through its OneSubsea joint venture, the US oilfield services firm will build standardized pre-salt subsea production systems and related services, including the further development of two oilfields in the Santos Basin.
US oilfield services firm Schlumberger (SLB) has been awarded a contract by Petrobras to its joint venture OneSubsea for its standardized pre-salt subsea production systems and related services, which includes the further development of two oil fields in the Santos Basin.
As part of the second development of the Atapu and Sepia fields, SLB OneSubsea will provide the pre-salt vertical trees, subsea distribution units, subsea control systems and piping systems configured to Petrobras standards, along with the installation, commissioning in service and related services during the useful life of the field.
Much of the technology and equipment to be deployed, including vertical trees and subsea control systems, will be produced and serviced locally at SLB OneSubsea's facilities in Brazil.
The CEO of SLB OneSubsea, Mads Hjelmeland, stated that this award strengthens his "valuable partnership" with Petrobras and has been proud to support the development of such important assets for Brazil.
"Leveraging our proven and locally developed technology platform facilitates on-time delivery and maximizes local content from our Brazilian manufacturing and service facilities. Brazil is a key market for us and our continued investments in the country are critical to supporting the growth we foresee." for the region," he noted.
These projects add to Petrobras' investments in the pre-salt and will allow the incorporation of two new floating production, storage and offloading (FPSO) platforms, P-84 (Atapu) and P-85 (Sepia).
Each of them will have a daily production capacity of 225,000 barrels of oil per day and processing of 10 million cubic meters of gas per day.
