With this, Acciona accesses a portfolio of more than 1,200 kilometers of high voltage lines, thirty substations in the country, including the acquisition of the 30-year concession project called 'Machupichu-Quencoro-Onocora-Tintaya', once they are obtained the necessary approvals.

Acciona has reached an agreement with Darby International Capital to acquire its high-voltage transmission lines business in Peru, an operation that will involve a total investment of 220 million euros.

The company chaired by José Manuel Entrecanales defends in a statement that this acquisition positions it "as one of the main operators in the sector in Latin America."

In this way, Acciona accesses a portfolio of more than 1,200 kilometers of high voltage lines (500Kv and 220Kv) and 30 substations in the country, including the acquisition of the 30-year concession project 'Machupichu-Quencoro-Onocora-Tintaya' , once the necessary approvals are obtained.

The reactivation of this project, of 300 kilometers of transmission lines, paralyzed since 2016, will improve electrical connectivity in the south of the country when it comes into operation in 2028.

The agreement also involves the incorporation of engineering, purchasing, construction and operation and maintenance teams to Acciona, with experience in managing more than 4,200 kilometers of transmission lines and 30 substations.

This purchase joins the concession contracts that Acciona already manages in Peru currently for a total of 820 kilometers of high voltage lines and more than 20 substations, which makes it one of the main companies in the sector in Latin America. .

In the last twelve years, the company has developed more than 70 transmission line projects around the world. In Peru, it has been present since 1998, a country in which it has developed infrastructure such as the control tower of the new Lima airport.

It has also recently been awarded the Peripheral Road Ring project, which includes the construction of a 34.5-kilometer urban highway in Lima and its subsequent operation and maintenance for 30 years.
