Nubank launches mobile phone operator for its clients in Brazil

Customers of NuCel, the new operator, will have exclusive benefits on Nubank's existing financial services.

Nubank, the digital banking platform, announces the launch of NuCel, a mobile telephony service designed to transform the customer experience and expand the company's portfolio beyond financial services in the Brazilian market.

The product was developed to simplify the lives of users with flexible, commitment-free plans.

In addition, NuCel customers will have benefits as part of the Nubank ecosystem, such as Caixinhas Turbo , a tool that allows users to save money with a personalized return of 120% of the CDI.

Ultraviolet and Nubank+ customers will automatically receive additional gigabytes if they exceed their data limit.

NuCel will be rolled out gradually over the coming months, initially available only for devices with eSIM, with fast activation and 100% digital.

There are three plan options for customers to choose from based on their needs: 15GB for R$45/month (US$7.87/month), 20GB for R$55/month (US$9.61/month), and 35GB for R$75/month (US$13.11/month). Payments will be made with the Nu credit card.

In the initial testing phase, only some features will be available. After this phase, all benefits and features will be enabled.

ALL PLANS INCLUDE:

- Unlimited voice package for local and long distance calls.

- Unlimited WhatsApp, including voice and video calls, and unlimited access to the Nubank app.

- Access to an exclusive savings account with a 120% CDI return on the amounts deposited by the client, with a limit of up to R$10,000 (US$1,748), for at least one year.

NuCel will cover 93% of the Brazilian territory and will offer 5G connectivity. Starting today, customers interested in receiving notifications about the availability of the service can sign up for the interest list through the app and will be notified when NuCel is available for contracting.

SMART USE AND FLEXIBILITY

NuCel will offer real-time suggestions based on usage, allowing for adjustments at any time. If the contracted data limit is exhausted within the month, the customer will be able to add additional GB directly in the app.
