Last January, the company stopped trading its stock certificates, each equivalent to eight common shares of the company, on the US stock exchange.

The board of directors of Almacenes Éxito approved this Friday the beginning of the process of delisting its Brazilian stock certificates from the Brazilian stock market, thus concentrating its stock market activity solely on the Colombian market, where the company originates.

The procedures for discontinuation are subject to approvals by the Brazilian Stock Exchange (B3) and the Securities and Exchange Commission (CVVM), in accordance with applicable regulations.

Once the company has obtained the necessary approval, it will inform the holders of said shares of the procedures and conditions, and, once the procedure for their discontinuation has been completed, Grupo Éxito will take the necessary measures to proceed with the cancellation before the CVM, with the consequent cancellation of its registration as a foreign issuer.

The decision to cease trading in Brazil is in line with the decision to end its American stock certificate program in the United States, in order to concentrate the liquidity of its securities in Colombia and maximize returns for its shareholders.
