According to Ositran, there are observations regarding operational tests of third parties providing non-airport services that need to be lifted, related to truck waiting areas, aircraft docking, and field tests.

Peru's Public Transportation Infrastructure Investment Supervisory Agency (Ositrán) announced today that, following an inspection of the expansion of Jorge Chávez International Airport, the airport was found to be 95.5% complete.

"As part of its supervisory work, Ositrán conducted an unscheduled inspection of all airport infrastructure and installed equipment on March 14, verifying 99.5% completion," it stated.

Ositrán's Supervisory and Oversight Manager, Francisco Jaramillo, said the regulatory agency conducted a supervisory visit to the new Jorge Chávez International Airport.

"Ositrán is obligated to oversee this milestone in the terminal's construction and ensure it is ready for operation. That is our contractual obligation: to ensure that the works are 100% complete and operational, and based on that, we are reaching 99.5% completion," he explained.

The official explained that the remaining 0.5% is represented by the Fire Detection and Alarm System (DACI), where it was confirmed that some systems are still in the integration process, as well as the Access Control System, for which integration is being completed through the GENETEC platform.

Also considered were the Local Area Network (LAN), which is in the final stages of network protocol synchronization; the Public Address/Public Voice Alarm System (PAS/PVAS), which continues to be integrated into the BMS; the Flight Information Display System (FIDS), which is pending integration and has been indicated that it will be completed at the time of the transition to the new terminal; and the Lighting System, which is in the process of being integrated into the centralized control system.

Additionally, the architectural department was mentioned, as it is currently completing minor tile repairs, removing some drywall and baseboard protection. Additionally, some localized areas of pending landscaping work have been identified, and security is continuing with the integration and connectivity of the New Terminal's intercoms to the CCS (Security Control Center), as well as the elevators.

"Regarding operational tests by third parties providing non-airport services, there are observations that need to be addressed, related to truck waiting areas, aircraft docking, and field tests," he indicated.

"Ositrán is currently in the process of establishing a new fare for transfer passengers. These are passengers whose final destination is not Jorge Chávez International Airport, but who deplane, enter the terminal, and board another plane to reach their final destination (they may be domestic or international). This fare will be established in the coming days, before the new terminal enters into operation, in accordance with Clause Four of Addendum 6 to the Concession Agreement dated March 8, 2013," he added.

"Ositrán will continue to oversee the New Passenger Terminal at Jorge Chávez International Airport, ensuring that this important project is completed in compliance with the Basic Standards and Minimum Technical Requirements established in the Concession Agreement," he said.
