The Luren Mining Company maintains annual revenues exceeding US$40 million and specializes in the marketing of lime and silica-lime bricks.

As part of its regional expansion strategy, the Swiss cement company has acquired 100% of the Peruvian mining company Luren (CML).

This transaction marks a milestone in the company's growth, being the third acquisition in Peru in the last seven months. With this acquisition, Holcim strengthens its presence in the local market, and Compañía Minera Luren will represent 25% of the company's revenue in the Andean country by 2025.

"This acquisition allows us to further consolidate our presence in the country and reinforce our commitment to sustainable and innovative solutions for construction. We are excited to integrate the solid client portfolio of Compañía Minera Luren and its subsidiaries, to whom we will offer comprehensive support through our wide range of sustainable solutions. In this way, together we will drive progress for people and the planet," says Norberto Ledea, CEO of Holcim Peru.

The Luren Mining Company maintains annual revenues exceeding US$40 million and specializes in the marketing of lime and silica-lime bricks. With a significant presence in the Lima/Central region, its bricks are widely used by real estate developers in residential construction, being present in more than 50% of Lima's buildings, thanks to their efficient thermal and acoustic insulation, as well as their lower weight and ease of installation compared to traditional clay bricks.

In addition, the Luren Mining Company complements its business with a comprehensive wall installation service, ensuring its installation under the supervision of specialists, and with the production of dry mortars.

On the other hand, it is the second-largest producer of high-quality lime in the country, used in various industrial applications, especially in the Peruvian mining sector.

"This new phase marks an important milestone for Compañía Minera Luren. Becoming part of the Holcim group will allow it to take the next major step in its development, strengthening its operational capabilities, driving innovation, and reaffirming its commitment to the construction industry, as well as the mining and industrial sectors in Peru," said Alejandro Garland, General Manager of CML.

Thus, Luren will be integrated into Holcim Peru, retaining its trademarks. This integration strengthens the key role of its operations and guarantees business continuity.
