The Peruvian president will travel to the Asian giant at the end of June and will make a state visit to the cities of Shenzhen, Shanghai and Beijing.
The plenary session of the Congress of Peru approved Draft Legislative Resolution 8019 that authorizes the departure from the national territory of the President of the Republic, Dina Boluarte, to the People's Republic of China, from June 23 to 30 this year.
The vote result was 71 in favor, 41 against and six abstentions to grant permission to the head of state.
Foreign Minister Javier González-Olaechea headed the government's support the Draft Legislative Resolution 8019.
According to the document, the president of China, Xi Jinping, invited his Peruvian counterpart to make a state visit, the central date of which is June 28. The tour will include activities in the cities of Shenzhen, Shanghai and Beijing.
On June 28, the President will participate in a ceremony in Tiananmen Square, in the Chinese capital. Then, she will meet with the Chinese leader in the so-called People's Palace --an event in which the president of the Standing Committee of the Chinese National People's Congress, Zhao Leji, and other high authorities will also be present.
Agreements will be signed at said meeting, including one referring to the Strategic Dialogue Mechanism on Economic Cooperation, health protocols so that more Peruvian products can reach this country, and the creation of the Peruvian-Chinese Business Council.
Resolution 8019 also specified that the Peruvian head of state will remain in charge of the office of the Presidency of the Republic using digital technologies, which adopt digital security mechanisms and guarantee the safety of the means to be used, within the framework of the provisions in article 8-A of Law 29158, Organic Law of the Executive Branch, incorporated by Law 31810, as well as in the current regulations on digital security and trust in the country.
