The test will be held in December, the month in which temporary contracts expire. In order to be renewed, workers must pass this exam, as established in the basic law regarding labor matters.
The Argentine government will carry out a suitability test on more than 40,000 public employees in order to renew their fixed-term contracts, in line with the "rationalisation of the State" strategy implemented by Javier Milei since the beginning of his mandate.
This was confirmed on Thursday by the government spokesman, Manuel Adorni, at his usual morning press conference, during which he outlined the characteristics of this test that will take place in December.
Temporary contracts expire in that month, so in order to be renewed, these 40,000 employees will need to pass this exam, as established in the basic law regarding labor matters.
The test will be online, to avoid subjectivity in the process and people with disabilities will not participate in the first instance, appealing to the adaptation process contemplated by labor regulations.
