The Government has demanded that the political and opposition sectors avoid damaging the image of the country with announcements of mobilizations.

Bolivia aspires to receive more than 1.3 million tourists by the end of 2024, which is 10% more than the million visitors the country recorded last year 2023 and surpass the record numbers of 2019, the best year In tourism terms, when a total of 1.2 million international travelers arrived in the South American nation.

These projections have been shared by the Bolivian Vice Ministry of Tourism, which has relied on the tourism promotion work of recent months to sustain the expected increase for the coming months of the year.

The Government of Luis Arce has decided to emphasize tourism promotion, giving importance to this sector as it is one of those that guarantees the income of foreign currency to the country, which has also been increasing in recent years.

"The arrival of tourists to Bolivia translates into a projection to the world and the entry of foreign currency into the country, since foreigners arrive with dollars to our territory," explained the Vice Minister of Tourism, Ive Flores.

To advance this objective of increasing the number of international tourists, the Government has demanded that the political and opposition sectors avoid damaging the image of the country with announcements of mobilizations.

"The projection can be overcome if everything goes well. We must try to ensure that the radical part does not go around suffocating or frightening, and may carry out blockades or demonstrations. Let's stop harming the country," the vice minister urged.
