Working to boost investment

“Starting the year with positive FDI figures is undoubtedly good news, which extends the good moment that foreign investment had in 2023. These are amounts that invite us to continue working in an articulated manner to promote foreign investment in Chile, with a view to “consolidate our ability to attract investments and generate the employment opportunities that our country needs, especially in sectors where we need to make leaps in quality quickly and in regions that require investment and quality jobs,” commented the director of InvestChile, Karla Flores. .

“In this sense, as InvestChile we continue to deploy our international promotion and coordination actions with the regions of the country. We begin 2024 with our participation this week in the PDAC fair in Canada together with the Minister of Mining Aurora Williams, with the aim of promoting the new portfolio of mining exploration and exploitation projects among the most important investors in the sector; and next week we will be in Korea and Japan, together with Minister Jessica López, promoting the Concessions portfolio,” he added. “Likewise, we will be signing collaboration agreements with two new regions, with the aim of promoting the materialization of new investments where they are most needed,” Flores said.

“This is also a special year, because we will have our 7th InvestChile International Forum, where we will have the participation of more than 100 international companies that will assist with specific investment projects in sectors such as Lithium Industry, Technological and Digital Infrastructure; Infrastructure Concessions; and Clean Energy and Storage. We hope that from this event we can have very good news for the country as well,” he concluded.
