In 2019, the registration of new electric buses was 62 units and by the following year it had already multiplied, according to figures from the International Energy Agency.

By 2023 the level of new annual registrations of these units was already five times higher; This year it closed with 305 electric buses registered for the first time.

This Agency projects that, by 2027, new registrations of green units will reach a level of 857.

Although the trend of new electric buses continues to grow, it still represents a minimal part of the total bus fleet in Mexico.
