President of China confirmed his presence at the APEC Summit

According to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Peru, Javier González-Olaechea, this confirmation was reached by Chinese Vice President Han Zheng, with whom he met during his trip to the Asian country.

Peruvian Foreign Minister Javier González-Olaechea confirmed today, Wednesday, that the President of China, Xi Jinping, will come to the Leaders' Summit of the Asia-Pacific Cooperation Forum (APEC) that will take place in Lima in November of this year, and will make a state visit.

This confirmation was reached by Chinese Vice President Han Zheng, whom he met during his trip to the Asian country.

"The vice president has confirmed to me that the president of China (Xi Jinping) is officially coming to the APEC summit meeting and is also making a state visit," he said in statements to Andina Canal Online.

The head of Foreign Affairs stated that China has always expressed its interest in investing in all sectors of the country, an offer that is made to all countries in the world.

Likewise, he recalled that China in recent years went from being the fourth largest investor in the country to becoming number one in this so-called comprehensive strategic partnership.

"The meeting with the Chinese vice president, which lasted twice as long as scheduled, was very fruitful because it confirmed to us that as a country we had the preference, so to speak, of China in Latin America and that responds to the macroeconomic conditions (of Peru). ", he said.

In addition, he explained that the geopolitical and geostrategic location with respect to other countries in the Pacific Ocean is also important.

At another time, the chancellor highlighted the good organization with which the meetings are being held within the framework of the Asia-Pacific Cooperation Forum (APEC), which is held in various cities in the country.

"The estimates regarding quality and quantity have been exceeded by 130 percent, we will have more than 130 to 150 meetings where high-level officials and also people from companies participate, because APEC is a cooperation organization to promote investment and trade. where priority is given to private companies," he said.

Javier González-Olaechea said that this international event is "an excellent window for Peru", which will culminate with the Leaders Summit.

"In addition, it shows Peru as a deeply hospitable country, there is no economic sector in the country where you cannot invest. Peru is one of the few countries that offers legal equality for foreigners and Peruvians, the only thing we demand is that they comply with the local laws," he said.
