President Andrés Manuel López Obrador and the next president, Claudia Sheinbaum, prepare the ground for the change of administration in Mexico, while confirming the continuation of the Secretary of the Treasury, Rogelio Ramírez de la O, in Sheinbaum's government team.

President Andrés Manuel López Obrador announced this Monday that he will soon hold a meeting with the president-elect, Claudia Sheinbaum, to coordinate the transition of power and plan the delivery-reception of the administration.

During his morning conference, López Obrador highlighted the importance of this meeting amid the congratulations Sheinbaum received from various international leaders. The president pointed out the possibility of traveling with Sheinbaum to some regions of the country to coordinate the handover of the Presidency of Mexico.

Likewise, the president reported on the permanence of the current Secretary of the Treasury, Rogelio Ramírez de la O, in his position for a time in Sheinbaum's cabinet. López Obrador praised the work of Ramírez de la O and highlighted his prestige in the financial field, which, according to him, will provide economic peace of mind and facilitate the transition.

In another vein, López Obrador mentioned that his government will leave few works pending, highlighting the inauguration of approximately 20 IMSS, IMSS-Bienestar and ISSSTE hospitals in the last months of his six-year term. Regarding education, he assured that the main programs are being attended to.

Finally, the president reiterated his commitment to addressing the Reform of the Judicial Branch, indicating that its members could be elected by popular vote, although he ruled out the disappearance of the current Judicial Branch.
