The elected president of the Aztec country also raised the need to approve in September the respect and recognition of indigenous peoples, along with the other priority reforms that are planned to be approved by the next legislature.

In a meeting with the elected legislators of Morena, PT and PVEM, Claudia Sheinbaum, virtual president-elect of Mexico, highlighted the popular support that the so-called Fourth Transformation (4T) has received and the responsibility of continuing with the agenda of changes started almost six years ago.

He also raised the need to approve in September the respect and recognition of indigenous peoples, along with the other priority reforms that are planned to be approved by the next legislature.

The former head of Government of Mexico City insisted on the importance of meeting the expectations of the Mexican people and not going back on the progress made.

In his opinion, six years ago, Mexico made the decision to overcome the old neoliberal system, which has led to profound changes in the political, economic and social areas of the country.

Sheinbaum Pardo highlighted, in his speech, that, under Q4, Mexico has experienced a reduction in poverty and inequality, a historical record of foreign investment, economic growth that exceeds predictions and a globally appreciated national currency.

Finally, the virtual first president of the Republic in the history of the Aztec country reminded the legislators of their duty to be examples of austerity and to serve the people, always keeping in mind the principles of justice, equality and defense of national sovereignty.

However, after the speech, Claudia Sheinbaum, along with the next members of the Chamber of Deputies and Senators, remained in a private meeting.
