The virtual president-elect Claudia Sheinbaum announced this Thursday from the Interactive Museum of Economics in Mexico City (MIDE) five other officials who will make up her cabinet, which will begin functions as of October 1.
The president-elect of Mexico announced the names of the officials who will lead the main Secretariats of the incoming government. David Kershenobich will lead the Ministry of Health (SSA), while Raquel Buenrostro Sánchez will head the Ministry of Public Administration. Luz Elena González will direct the Secretariat of Energy (Sener), Jesús Antonio Esteva Medina will be in charge of the Secretariat of Infrastructure, Communications and Transportation (SICT), and Edna Elena Vega will head the Secretariat of Agrarian, Territorial and Urban Development (Sedatu).
Sheinbaum Pardo indicated that Raquel Buenrostro and Jesús Esteva will remain in their current positions, although they will have the task of participating in the processes of the next administration.

Luz Elena González Escobar:
She will be in charge of the Ministry of Energy, she has a degree in Economics from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), a master's degree in Law from the Technological University and a master's degree in Urban Planning from the University of Catalonia. In her career as a public official, she has stood out as Secretary of Finance of Mexico City in coordination with Pemex and the CFE, in addition to her participation in the construction of solar panels at the Central de Abastos of the Mexican capital.
Raquel Buenrostro Sánchez:
She will be the head of the Ministry of Public Administration, she has a degree in Mathematics from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) and a master's degree in Economics from the College of Mexico. Since 2022, she has served as Secretary of Economy of the federal government. Previously she was the head of the SAT (Tax Administration Service); She has also been General Director of Administration and Finance at the Ministry of Tourism and Director of Budget Control at the Ministry of Finance and Public Credit (SHCP).
Edna Elena Vega Rangel:
She will be the one who will lead the Secretariat of Agrarian, Territorial and Urban Development. She has a degree in Sociology from the Metropolitan Autonomous University (UAM), a master in Metropolitan Planning and a doctor in Sociology with a specialty in societies and territory. As a public servant, she has served as director of Conavi (National Housing Commission) and undersecretary of Territorial and Agrarian Planning of Sedatu.
David Kershenobich:
He will be in charge of the Ministry of Health, he has an extensive career in the health sector, he was in charge of coordinating the forums for the transformation of the health system. He was former director of the Salvador Zubirán National Institute of Medical Sciences and Nutrition, and is also a level III emeritus researcher of the National Researchers System.
Jesus Antonio Esteva Medina:
He will be in charge of the Secretary of Communications and Transportation, he is a Civil Engineer and Master in Structures from the National Autonomous University of Mexico. Since 2018, he has served as head of the Secretariat of Works and Services of Mexico City.
Rogelio Ramírez de la O:
He will be part of Claudia Sheinbaum's cabinet with the position he currently holds as head of the Ministry of Finance and Public Credit since July 2021.
The virtual president-elect announced the day before that the Secretary of Finance and Public Credit, Rogelio Ramírez de la O, who had already been confirmed to remain in office for the start of the next six-year term, would not be able to attend the presentation of the team because has a meeting with President Andrés Manuel López Obrador.
Sheinbaum Pardo reported last Thursday that Rosaura Ruiz, Alicia Bárcena, Ernestina Godoy, Marcelo Ebrard, Juan Ramón de la Fuente and Julio Berdegué will be part of his government. Additionally, this Wednesday afternoon he confirmed José Antonio Peña Merino as head of the Digital Transformation Agency.
