SKY, Air France and KLM sign agreement to connect passengers to and from Europe with destinations in Chile, Peru and the rest of the region

Air France and KLM travelers arriving in Santiago, Lima and other cities in the region will be able to connect with the SKY network. The agreement will begin marketing during the next two weeks.

The Chilean low cost SKY signed an interline agreement this Thursday with Air France and KLM, by which passengers of European companies will be able to connect to more than 30 SKY destinations in Chile, Peru and other American countries, purchasing a single ticket that Include all required journeys.

In Chile, for example, Air France and KLM intercontinental travelers will be able to arrive or depart from SKY destinations such as Puerto Montt, Antofagasta and Puerto Natales. Meanwhile, in Peru they will be able to access SKY destinations, such as Cusco, Arequipa, Iquitos, Juliaca, Tumbes and Piura.

The agreement will also incorporate connections to different cities in America, so that travelers will also be able to connect with SKY destinations, such as Mendoza, Bariloche and Montevideo.

“We are pleased to announce a new interline agreement with one of the largest and most prestigious airline groups in Europe. We are confident that it will allow us to strengthen SKY's presence in the European market through the availability of our robust network in Latin America, which will connect different points in Chile, Peru, Argentina and Brazil with the transatlantic flights of Air France and KLM, creating an offer that provides many more travel possibilities through the combination of the networks of the three companies,” commented Julio Solar, Strategy, Network and Alliances Manager at SKY.

Another benefit that this agreement contemplates is that, in a second phase of implementation, the option will be enabled for passengers to carry out a single check-in for the entire trip at the airport of origin, where they will also have facilities to label the luggage to final destination, achieving an expeditious and simple travel experience.

The agreement will begin to be marketed at the end of July, when Air France and KLM publish itineraries that include combinations with SKY flights on their different sales channels.

The destinations of the agreement operated by SKY are the cities of Antofagasta, Arica, Balmaceda, Calama, Castro, Concepción, Copiapó, Iquique, La Serena, Osorno, Punta Arenas, Puerto Montt, Puerto Natales, Temuco and Valdivia, in Chile.

While for Peru, this applies to the towns of Cusco, Arequipa, Trujillo, Juliaca, Piura, Ayacucho, Tumbes, Iquitos, Tarapoto, Pucallpa and Jauja.

Other destinations in Latin America from the SKY International Network will also be included.
