President Gabriel Boric will travel to the United Arab Emirates in search of investors

The tour will take place between July 29 and 30 and will aim to expand and diversify the sources of economic development in Chile, in addition to attracting investors from the Arab nation.

The president of Chile, Gabriel Boric, will begin an Official Visit to the United Arab Emirates this Monday, July 29, until Tuesday, July 30. This is the first trip to this country made by a Chilean Head of State and its objective is to expand and diversify the sources of economic development in Chile and strengthen ties and attract investments with the Arab nation.

Through a statement, it was reported that the South American president will begin his official visit with a meeting with the president of the United Arab Emirates, Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, with whom he will lead the signing ceremony of the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA). , for its acronym in English) between both countries, which seeks to enhance the bilateral commercial exchange of goods and services in areas such as transportation, agriculture, clean energy, science, commercial infrastructure, among others.

During his visit, Boric will have activities in Abu Dhabi and Dubai and will be accompanied by an official delegation made up of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Alberto van Klaveren; the Minister of Economy, Development and Tourism, Nicolás Grau; the Minister of Public Works, Jessica López; the Minister of Science, Technology, Knowledge and Innovation, Aisén Etcheverry; the Undersecretary of International Economic Relations, Claudia Sanhueza; and senators Carmen Gloria Aravena, Francisco Chahuan, Alfonso de Urresti and Yasna Provoste.

Also participating as part of the official delegation of the visit will be the president of the Board of Directors of Codelco, Máximo Pacheco; Enami executive vice president, Iván Mlynarz; the general manager of Banco Estado Corredores de Bolsa, Juan Ignacio San Martín; the executive vice president of Corfo, José Miguel Benavente; and the general director of ProChile, Ignacio Fernández.

Meanwhile, the business delegation will be made up of the president of the Manufacturing Development Society (Sofofa), Rosario Navarro; the president of the Confederation of Production and Commerce (CPC), Ricardo Mewes; the president of the Puerto de San Antonio board of directors, Eduardo Abedrapo; the president of the Desalination Association AG (Acades), Carlos Foxley; the executive director of the Chilean Association of Renewable Energies and Storage (Acera AG), Ana Lía Rojas, the president of the Enap union, Iván Montes; the executive director (i) of Startup Campus, Francisca Contreras; and the president of Levita Magnetics, Alberto Rodríguez.

Additionally, the executive vice president of the Encuentros del Futuro Foundation, Guido Girardi, joins the delegation; the scientific popularizer, Gabriel León; the UTP head of the Alonso de Ercilla School in Temuco, Patricio González; the teacher of the Roberto White Lyceum School in Palena, Víctor López; the representative of the Chilean Space Association (Achide), Loreto Moraga; the director of the National Center for Artificial Intelligence (Cenia), Álvaro Soto and the executive director of Marine Acoustics, Marcela Ruiz.
