The IMSP includes immersion for two weeks in Miami, as well as full access for one year to Impacta VC services.

The social and environmental impact venture capital firm Impacta VC announces the launch of its new Impacta Miami Softlanding Program (#IMSP24), an initiative designed to support a maximum of 20 Latin American startups in their internationalization process (or softlanding ) to the United States, via Miami.

The program includes immersion for two weeks (with prior online preparation) in the US market through the city of Miami, in addition to full access for one year to Impacta VC services, in order to provide support in three areas key: capital, connection and knowledge.

In association with the Cambridge Innovation Center (CIC), a strategic partner of Impacta VC, the softlanding program has applications open until August 10, and the online prior preparation stage begins on the 26th of the same month.

Softlanding in Miami itself, meanwhile, begins on October 8 and lasts for two weeks .

On the one hand, the market size of the Latam countries is small and startups with a global mentality know that they have to expand to other markets, and on the other hand, the place where exits happen (and probably continue to happen in the medium term) is the US,” said David Alvo, CEO and founder of Impacta VC.

Furthermore, Alvo pointed out that “ it makes a lot of sense, if your startup has a good potential market in Miami, to expand to that large, mature market with a Latin idiosyncrasy to do business.”

"The program offers an immersive experience designed for entrepreneurs to minimize the risks when entering new markets, save time and resources, and maximize their benefits: we provide entrepreneurs with the essential tools to overcome challenges and accelerate their growth on the international stage" , adds Alejandra Winter, Director of CIC Connect.

Its value is US$6,000, with the exception that startups from Chile have the possibility of accessing 10 special scholarships, ranging from 25% to 100% , thanks to Corfo's support for this initiative.

IMPACTA VC SUCCESSFULLY CLOSES THIRD EDITION OF THE IFSP

The launch of the brand new softlanding initiative coincides with the completion of the successful Impacta Fundraising Strategy Program 2024 (IFSP2024), third edition of Impacta VC's strategic capital raising program, designed to teach startups to understand the VC game, to raise capital, in addition to providing them with tools to achieve this purpose, in order to access pre-seed, seed or Pre-Series A rounds more effectively.

IFSP2024 began with 150 startups , and 84 startups from 14 Latin American countries managed to graduate, after meeting requirements for class participation, homework completion, and attendance. 335 founders participated, with 45% of the startups under female leadership.

The founders of the selected startups enjoyed both the talks by 12 internationally relevant rockstars , as well as 12 Master Classes taught by the partners of the investment fund, which provided them, in the role of experts, with specific knowledge to raise capital.

The Women and ClimaTech Ambassadors scholarship programs more than met the goal of supporting startups led by women, as well as startups that are solving climate problems. In total, more than 100 hours of knowledge were delivered to the startups.

In parallel, the IFAS were carried out, personalized 1:1 sessions with the founders of different startups , in which the team in charge of the IFSP 2024, David Alvo, Ivan Páez and Catalina Taricco, held weekly sessions to provide them with mentoring to boost your growth. This year he worked with Pleiq, Publyfier, The Creative Lab Food and No Pausa.

“The IFSP24, in its third edition, has been the most ambitious and with the greatest impact, with more than 150 startups from all over Latin America and outstanding feedback on the experience of the participants; and we are happy to know that it surpasses any other capital raising program on the market and has a significant positive impact on all the startups that experience it,” indicated Iván Páez, founder member & venture partner of Impacta VC.
