The creation of a fully conversational virtual assistant that will simplify the user experience on digital channels is one of the projects that will be implemented.
BBVA AI Factory, the bank's artificial intelligence (AI) division, has opened two new centers in Mexico and Turkey to research the latest trends in AI and improve the bank's technological solutions, the bank reported.
To achieve this, it has hired 230 new professionals in advanced analytics and AI, joining the 200 at the Spanish headquarters. BBVA AI Factory has thus doubled its talent specialized in data and artificial intelligence to reach more than 400 professionals.
Among the projects of the entity's AI division is the creation of a fully conversational virtual assistant that will simplify the user experience on digital channels, or the development of 'copilot' tools that will help managers increase the efficiency of their work and improve the customer relationship model.
"AI gives us a deep understanding of our customers, which allows us to offer them truly personalized financial health management solutions," explains Ignacio Teulón, Global Head of BBVA AI Factory.
It is worth noting that the entity already has an OpenAI alliance to introduce ChatGPT Enterprise into BBVA's internal processes.
Furthermore, code reuse is one of the pillars on which AI developments at BBVA are based, as it allows for shorter product creation times and their launch in all its markets.
