Grupo Security recorded positive results at the end of the first half of the year, according to the results reported today to the Financial Market Commission (CMF), reaching a net profit of $85,369 million (US$ 93,781,000) with earnings per share of US$ 0.05097 in the last twelve months, surpassing the US$ 0.04317 recorded in June 2023.
Grupo Security's general manager, Fernando Salinas, highlighted the company's performance during the first months of 2024 and the work of the teams.

In the period, Banco Security recorded a profit of $83.6 billion (US$91.837 billion), while total loans amounted to $7.344 billion pesos (US$8.067 billion), among which mortgage and consumer loans stood out.
Regarding the growth of the other subsidiaries, Vida Security recorded a profit of $24,005 million (US$ 26,370,453), which represents an increase of 59.5% compared to the same period of the previous year. Factoring Security, on the other hand, achieved a profit of $7,401 million (US$ 8,130,295), presenting a higher interest margin and a greater volume of loans.
Meanwhile, Travel Security obtained a net result of $3,083 million (US$ 3,386,799), 6.1% higher than the same period of the previous year, due to a higher operating result associated with the increase in net commissions and, to a lesser extent, due to a positive effect of the exchange rate, reflecting the recovery of the travel industry.
Also in April this year, Grupo Security was recognized for the second consecutive year with first place in the Best Places to Work in Chile according to the Great Place To Work Ranking.
And in August, the company was recognized as 12th in the Best Places to Work in Latin America 2024.
In addition, during the month Grupo Security obtained first place in the Financial and Insurance Industry category of the 2024 Business Sustainability Ranking, organized by Brinca, the Adolfo Ibáñez University Business School and El Mercurio, which evaluates the commitments and results of large companies with respect to Environmental, Social and Corporate Governance (ESG) factors.
