The impact is almost immediate on the cocoa products that reach the local consumer. For example, through social media, the Tuti supermarket reported that due to the increase in the price of cocoa, they decided to increase the costs of products derived from this product.
“Nationally, there has been a considerable increase in the price of chocolate, due to the high cost of cocoa, which is why we have decided to increase the price of these products. At Tuti, we do not reduce the proportion of cocoa in the ingredients of our products. We are very transparent with the prices we offer,” they indicated in a statement shared on September 6 at the retail chain owned by businessman Alfreo Czarnisnki.
