Automotive sector projections
Regarding the projections for 2025, Anac stated that “specialized analysts in the automotive market, FORECAST Consultores, have projected that sales of light and medium vehicles would reach a performance of around 310,000 units, registering a growth of 2.5% compared to the previous year.”
According to projections, 3.5% of sales will be electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles, or around 11,000 units.
If self-recharging hybrids, extended-range electrics and microhybrids are added, “the market share would reach 11.5% with an estimated 35,500 units.”
However, this would represent a considerable increase compared to the 4,500 fully electric units sold in 2024, in addition to the more than 1,100 plug-in hybrids, 6,291 self-charging hybrids and 6,840 microhybrids.
