Revenue from shipments of all types of meat last year generated US$2,571.4 million in revenue for Uruguay.
Exports of all types of meat during 2024 generated US$2,571.4 million in revenue for Uruguay, which represents a 3.6% drop compared to the revenue achieved a year earlier, reported the National Meat Institute (INAC).
Considering the volume, weight of shipment and also taking into account all meats, the volume shipped during 2024 was 3.1% lower than the volume in 2023.
In terms of value, the average in dollars per ton, the variation was minimal, with a decrease of 0.4% from 2023 to 2024.
The Average Export Income per ton determined that, for beef, in 2024 the value was 1.2% above that of 2023, while for sheep meat it was 5.8% higher.
