Specifically, in the automobile market, internal taxes will be eliminated for cars between 41 and 75 million Argentine pesos (US$ 39,098 and 71,521), which until now paid a tax rate of 20%, and will be reduced for cars over 75 million pesos, from 35% to 18%.
In addition, tariffs on imports of low-cost electric and hybrid cars will be lowered to zero with the aim of creating more affordable vehicle options. There will be an annual quota of 50,000 cars to be imported in this category.
Additionally, internal taxes will be eliminated on motorcycles priced between 15 and 23 million Argentine pesos (US$ 14,304 and 21,933), which until now were subject to a 20% tax.
