Armed pirates last week raided the Ku-H and Zaap Delta oil platforms located near the Yucatan Peninsula and owned by Mexico's state oil company, Pemex.
The workers on the platforms were robbed of their cash and cell phones by the assailants, who took the materials and equipment necessary for the operation of the facilities, according to a complaint by Section 47 of the Union of Oil Workers of the Mexican Republic. Pemex has not issued any official information.

It all began early Thursday morning, when five armed individuals boarded the Ku-H satellite platform, subdued and beat the personnel.
"Our colleagues who were threatened and robbed by pirates on the Zaap Delta platform are already in Ciudad del Carmen, and are undergoing medical examination and evaluation by the corresponding specialists," the union revealed.
