This is the Mexican Steel Trade Monitor (MoCA MX), a tool designed to improve transparency, traceability and control in the trade of steel products in the country.
Mexico's Ministry of Economy announced Thursday the launch of its Mexico Steel Trade Monitor (MoCA MX), an innovative tool designed to improve transparency, traceability and control in the trade of steel products in the country.
This monitor will provide access to detailed information on steel imports and exports, including data such as detailed volume by category and product and the country of origin.
The platform will be key to strengthening supervision of the sector and preparing analyses of steel trade flows, consolidating itself as a fundamental tool to guarantee transparency, traceability and control of steel product trade.
The development and implementation of the programme responds to the need to ensure a fairer and more efficient business environment, providing industry players with the necessary tools to make strategic decisions based on accurate and up-to-date data.
This initiative is part of a comprehensive effort to strengthen the national steel industry and align strategic investments that boost the sector's competitiveness. It will also contribute to consolidating the North American region and providing greater certainty to strengthen trade with Mexico's trading partners.
"The Ministry of Economy reaffirms its commitment to strengthening the industrial sector and implementing tools that promote more transparent and equitable trade," said the department headed by Marcelo Ebrard.
