The Secretary of Mining of the Argentine Ministry of Economy, Luis Lucero, has signed a memorandum of mutual collaboration with the Minister of Natural Resources of Canada, Jonathan Wilkinson, on the matter of critical minerals.
The purpose of this collaboration agreement is to establish dialogue on critical minerals and mining sustainability between Argentina and Canada to provide a strategic vision for their bilateral collaboration in the area of critical minerals and mining sustainability, with the overall objective of creating the best conditions for sustainable investment in this sector and its commercialization and integration into global supply chains.
The dialogue also aims to focus on the development of tangible and measurable initiatives aimed at producing concrete progress in the objectives identified in mining issues. This agreement is part of the management plan carried out by the Mining Secretariat of the Ministry of Economy, whose objective is to promote activity and attract investment to the country.
It should be noted that the Argentine delegation had the support of the Secretary General of the Presidency, Karina Milei, who expressed the importance of the development of the mining industry for Javier Milei's administration.
