With 85% of the vote counts already tallied by the National Electoral Council (CNE), Noboa has secured 55.95% of the valid votes.

Daniel Noboa Azín won the presidency of the Republic of Ecuador this Sunday, April 13, 2025. At this time, with 85% of the vote counts already tallied by the National Electoral Council (CNE), Noboa has 55.95% of the valid votes.

While her opponent, Correísta Luisa González, reached 44.05% of the vote.

Noboa came to power in the 2023 snap elections, which resulted from the death penalty decreed by former President Guillermo Lasso.

This election does not count as a reelection for him, since on that occasion he was elected by the Ecuadorian people to complete the 2021-2025 term.

This means that this is his first election, and he could run for a second term.

Noboa will take office for this new term on May 24, 2025, and will serve for four years.

The president is at his residence in Olón, Santa Elena, with his family and government officials. He has not yet made any public statements; the CNE has not yet issued any comments on the results, but the percentage reflected by the system is considered irreversible.

After the polls closed, Noboa spoke only to thank "all the Ecuadorians who bravely went to the polls." "Today will be a great day," the president stated on his social media profile.
