Sheinbaum leads preferences with 56% one month before the elections in Mexico

The monthly National Survey Electoral Trends Heading to June 2, 2024, corresponding to May, conducted in homes by Mitofsky, indicates that the Morenista and the PAN fell 2.8% and 1.7%, respectively.

Less than a month before the elections, five, three and one in 10 citizens in Mexico revealed that they will vote for Claudia Sheinbaum (56%), Xóchitl Gálvez (32.2%) and Jorge Álvarez Máynez (11.8%), candidates from Morena, PT and PVEM, PAN, PRI and PRD, and from the Citizen Movement party (MC) for the Presidency of the Republic, respectively.

The monthly National Survey Electoral Trends Heading to June 2, 2024, corresponding to May, conducted in homes by Mitofsky, indicates that the Morenista and the PAN party fell 2.8 and 1.7%, respectively, compared to the results of the previous month, while the emecista rose 1.2 points.

According to the survey carried out among 1,600 citizens with a simulation of the ballot box and ballot, 50.1% responded that they will vote for the alliance of Morena, PT and PVEM; 26.4% said they will do it for the PAN, PRI and PRD union; for MC, 11.4%; 7.8% answered that they did not know yet and 4.3% said that they did not know for any political party.
