
The investment announcement was made during the Annual Shareholders' Meeting, where the consolidated financial results for 2024 were presented.
Arca Continental, one of the main Coca-Cola bottlers in Latin America, will invest 18 billion pesos (896.1 million dollars) this year to boost its growth in Mexico, the United States, and South America.
The company explained that the funds will be used to expand its production and distribution capacity, accelerate the adoption of digital technologies, and explore new beverage categories, among other initiatives.
"This amount will be used primarily to increase production and distribution capacity, accelerate the use of digital tools, launch new beverage categories, and strengthen its sustainable business model and create shared value in the communities it serves," he reported.
In a statement sent to the Mexican Stock Exchange (BMV), it indicated that approximately 50% of these total resources will be invested in its operations in Mexico, and the remaining 50% will be allocated to the United States and South American markets.
The investment announcement was made during Arca Continental's Annual Shareholders' Meeting, where it presented its 2024 consolidated financial results.
There was a notable increase of 11.8% in net profit, which amounted to more than 19.563 billion pesos, and a net margin of 8.3%.
Annual net sales grew 10.9%, totaling 237.004 billion pesos. Consolidated volume exceeded 2.466 billion unit cases (MCU).
The bottling company's general manager, Arturo Gutiérrez, highlighted the achievements of the last year, such as the record consolidated margin, the highest in the last eight years.
"We will continue with the digital transformation of the business and maintain the impeccable execution that distinguishes us, with the firm commitment to making a positive difference in every territory we serve," he stated.
Jorge H. Santos Reyna, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Arca Continental, explained that the company remains committed to its long-term vision in the markets where it operates.
"Guided by our strategy of profitable and sustainable growth, we continue to consistently create shared value in the markets where we operate," he emphasized during his participation in the Annual Shareholders' Meeting.
The meeting also discussed Arca Continental's inclusion in major sustainability indices, such as the Dow Jones Sustainability World Index, where it was recognized as the first Mexico-based organization to join this benchmark stock market index, which recognizes the 300 leading companies in terms of sustainability globally.
Additionally, for the third consecutive year, the bottler was included in S&P Global's Sustainability Yearbook, a report that highlights the "outstanding" companies in corporate sustainability within their industries.
