The process to finalize the relisting of the ADR program is estimated to take up to six months.
Latam Airlines Group informed Chile's Financial Market Commission (CMF) that its Board of Directors approved to start a process to re-list the company's ADRs at the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE).
The process entails various stages and requirements before the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) of the United States and the NYSE.
Once the requirements have been met, the Board of Directors will define whether or not to approve and make effective the re-listing, which will be then duly informed by the company to the CMF.
"This decision will be adopted once consent is obtained from the main creditors of the company's reorganization plan that was approved under Chapter 11 of the Bankruptcy Code of the United States of America (without which LATAM Airlines Group would not have emerged from said reorganization), and taking into consideration market conditions and the best interest of society," the airline said in a statement this morning.
The process to finalize the relisting of the ADR program is estimated to take up to six months from now.
"LATAM Airlines Group will keep its shareholders and the market in general informed about the progress of the ADR program relisting process," the company concluded.
