The Chilean group Cencosud, one of the largest retail chains in Latin America, announced in a statement that it will have a new corporate organizational structure.
Among the reported adjustments, the creation of the new Retail Ecosystem Corporate Management stands out, which will be led by Ricardo Bennett, who until Monday held the position of Department Store Manager. This management will be made up of the Technology areas; Cencommerce; Innovation & Ventures; Experience & Clients; Analytics & Media; Regional Commercial; Payment methods; and Uruguay, Supply Chain and Procurement . This management has the objective of promoting the digital ecosystem, synergies, efficiencies and new sources of income, integrating different technologies, platforms and channels, strengthening analytical capabilities, with experiences that increase customer preference.
Another of the changes announced is related to the Corporate Administration and Finance Management. Management will continue to maximize value creation in businesses and countries, leading financial discipline, capturing synergies and developing a capital allocation strategy .
The Corporate General Manager of Cencosud, Rodrigo Larraín, also announced the modification internally and commented that “ with this rearrangement we seek to give greater agility and autonomy to the Cencosud teams, strengthening collaborative work, promoting innovation and the physical-digital ecosystem. . The executive added that this new structure seeks to strengthen Cencosud's teams for the execution of the 5-pillar strategy: Financial Strength, Growth, Innovation & New Trends, Talent and Sustainability. In addition, he took the opportunity to announce that the Management of Paris Chile will be led starting today by Juan Luis Taverne, who served as Paris New Business Manager.
In this way, the corporate managements that today report to the General Manager are: People, Administration and Finance, Real Estate, Retail Ecosystem, and Legal and Institutional Relations. Added to these are the managements of each country (Argentina, Colombia, Brazil, Peru and the United States), those of each business unit in Chile (Supermarkets, Home Improvement, Department Stores) and Cenco Malls at the regional level.
