
Paraguayan meat export revenues continue to grow and, up to February, have already generated US$ 419,351,635, which contributed significantly to the economy, according to Senacsa.
As of last February, Paraguayan exports of different types of meat, offal and offal to different markets around the world totaled US$ 419,351,635, equivalent to 116,769,933 kilograms, according to the latest report from the National Service for Animal Quality and Health (Senacsa).
The amount received represents an increase of almost 40% compared to the income achieved last year during the same period, which reached approximately US$ 310,753,431.
The report highlights that beef represents the highest value and, as of last February, Paraguay exported a total of 60,650,621 kilograms of bovine protein to at least 39 countries.
The sale of this product brought US$339,810,109 in foreign currency into the country from January 1 to February 28 of this year.
According to the Senacsa report, Chile remains the largest buyer of Paraguayan beef, with 33% of the total, equivalent to 18,111,598 kilos worth US$ 111,034,281.
Taiwan follows with 7,250,702 kilos worth US$42,942,280, and the United States, which climbed to third place with 6,914,400 kilos equivalent to US$38,525,637.
Israel ranked fourth on the list of major buyers, with 6,054,772 kilos worth US$37,033,425. Brazil followed with 3,345,519 kilos, equivalent to US$22,026,813.
SHIPMENTS OF GOODS
Regarding exports of bovine offal, Senacsa reports that at least 11,508,395 kilos of these products were sent to some 32 countries, which generated a movement of US$ 20,301,427.
As for the largest buyers of this category of offal, the Senacsa report highlights that Russia, with 2,671,334 kilos worth US$ 4,567,302, leads the list of countries that receive the most bovine offal from Paraguay.
Egypt is next, with 2,047,371 kilos worth US$ 2,872,198; and Taiwan, with 802,044 kilos worth US$ 2,793,290, remains on the list of major importers of this Paraguayan production.
Other markets such as Maritime Supply, Vietnam, Israel and the Democratic Republic of the Congo also feature prominently on the list.
PORK AND POULTRY MEATS
Regarding the pork species, Senacsa reports that the main destination for Paraguayan pork production is Taiwan, which received 1,664,609 kilos worth US$ 5,071,914 up to February.
This list is followed by Uruguay, with 422,085 kilos for US$ 727,650; Georgia, with 56,001 kilos for US$ 83,360; and Brazil, with 21,992 kilos worth US$ 28,370.
According to the Senacsa report, Paraguay managed to export 2,164,689 kilos of pork products until February, generating an income of US$ 5,911,295.
Regarding the poultry sector, the health authority reported that 1,691,515 kilos of products worth US$ 2,044,123 were exported up to February.
