After no variation in May, the Transportation Cost Index (ICT) had a fall of 1.6% in June, according to the National Institute of Statistics (INE).

In the case of June, the result came hand in hand with the decrease in the “human resources” group (-2.3%), affecting -1,016 percentage points (pp.) on the ICT.
“Meanwhile, “fuels” recorded a monthly variation of -2.3%, with an incidence of -0.617 pp., while “financial services” recorded a monthly variation of -1.3%, with an incidence of -0.078 pp”, they comment from the INE.
Regarding “services related to transport circulation”, these presented zero variation to one decimal place, with an impact of 0.002 pp.
“Vehicle maintenance and repair services” had an increase of 0.5% in June, influencing 0.026 pp. to the general indicator.
Finally, the group of “spare parts and accessories for the operation and maintenance of the vehicle” also rose 0.5% monthly, with an impact of 0.045 pp.
