In the first half of 2024, China has become by far the main destination for Chilean dried plum exports, both in volume and returns: 10,463 metric tons (MT), equivalent to US$ 23 million.
Then, Poland and Mexico are located with 3,200 MT and 2,240 MT, respectively. The other countries that are part of the top ten shipments of Chilean dried plums to the world are the United States, Germany, the United Kingdom, Spain, Italy, Turkey and Australia.
The Chinese peak also marks a difference compared to last year, when shipments to that country totaled 5,816 metric tons (MT) of dried plums, equivalent to US$ 19 million. Of the top ten countries, 9 out of 10 remain unchanged compared to the same period in 2023, with Turkey entering to replace Russia.
