The routes that had the greatest increase in passenger traffic compared to 2023 were Florianópolis with 117%, Bariloche with 55% and Punta Cana with 50%.

Along the same lines, other destinations in Argentina, such as Mendoza and Buenos Aires, also transported more passengers compared to the previous year, with an increase of more than 8,000 passengers between both cities, thanks to their proximity and short flight times, becoming ideal places for weekend getaways.

“We are very happy to see that during the second quarter we managed to transport a large number of passengers, having figures at pre-pandemic levels. The above reflects our growth within the region where we have opted for new and attractive international destinations.

We hope that more people will join in flying with us and be able to reunite with loved ones or get to know new cities in one of our 13 international destinations,” commented Jaime Fernández, Sales Manager of SKY Airline.

AN INCREASE OF 70% MORE, ONLY IN BRAZIL

In the second quarter of 2024, SKY has transported more than 139,000 passengers on its routes connecting with Brazil, which is reflected as an increase of 70% compared to the same period in 2023.

In addition, the recent routes launched by SKY to Brazil such as Salvador de Bahía via Montevideo, Brasilia and Belo Horizonte, transported more than 12,000 passengers in the period between April and June, this in line with the proposed snow season in Chile, which is of great attraction for Brazilians.

The snow season has been key in the transportation of Brazilians to Chile, thanks to the offer of routes in July 2024, more than 82,000 passengers have been registered, 53% more than in the same month of 2023, and a total of 476 frequencies, which corresponds to an increase of 47% compared to the same period of the previous year.
