The new goal is now 14,000 homes in the next 48 hours. The goal is lower and has a longer time frame because the pace of recovery tends to slow down as work progresses.
GENERATORS
In addition, Monsalve reported that “25 generators with a capacity of approximately 1 megawatt were made available to Enel, and are currently installed in some locations in the Metropolitan region.”
These can supply 500 homes. That is, 12,500 families could benefit from these items.
Among all the regions affected by the frontal system, that is, from Coquimbo to Los Lagos, at 8:00 a.m. today there were more than 61 thousand homes without electricity.
Specifically, in the Metropolitan region, there were 42,623 customers without electricity, which represents 1.8% of the regional total.
Monsalve also noted that 5,809 families have been without service since August 1, 18,084 since August 2, 3,891 since August 3, and 3,812 since August 4.
