The production capacity of the site will generate more than 100 jobs. The group's products will be distributed from the plant and subsequently sold in the United States.
The Spanish textile company Nextil will open its factory in Guatemala on October 16 after an investment of more than 20 million euros in the facility, which has a surface area of 12,000 square meters, the company reported to the National Securities Market Commission (CNMV) on Thursday.
The facility, located in the municipality of Fraijanes, houses the different weaving, dyeing and finishing equipment, including loading and unloading areas, storage, laboratories, offices and various facilities as well as a wastewater treatment plant.
The production capacity of the site in phase 1 of development, already completed and in production, is 30 million euros per year and generates more than 100 jobs. The group's products will be distributed from the plant and subsequently sold in the United States.
In addition, Nextil has reported that it has already started phase 2 of the development of the facilities, which will lead to a total production capacity of more than 80 million euros per year in the summer of 2025.
