Under the agreement, Aleph will process US$3 billion in Total Payment Volume (TPV) annually and offer a new proposition for clients in emerging and high-growth markets.

Aleph, an ecosystem of global digital experts and technology-driven solutions that enables the growth of digital marketing worldwide, announced the acquisition of a controlling stake in Localpayment, a fast-growing Latin American payment service provider (PSP).

The strategic transaction transforms the digital landscape by combining digital advertising solutions with local payment processing capabilities. This creates a multiplier effect where Aleph will be able to leverage its relationships with top-tier digital partners, such as Amazon, Google, Snapchat, Spotify, Tiktok, Uber, and X, among others, along with more than 26,000 advertisers, digital native companies, and e-commerce companies, to rapidly grow its payments solution.

Through this acquisition, Aleph greatly enhances its offering and capabilities. The company, which already generates significant revenue for leading digital advertising platforms in over 130 emerging and high-growth markets, will now, through Localpayment, be able to process billions of dollars in payments for its clients. In this way, Aleph becomes the only player in both the digital advertising and fintech ecosystems, a sector that will reach US$ 1.4 trillion in Latin America by 2028.

Localpayment, which will now be called Localpayment by Aleph, was founded in 2018 and offers integration through a single API (Application Programming Interface) in 17 Latin American countries: it supports incoming and outgoing payments with more than 640 local payment methods, including credit and debit cards, bank transfers, instant and QR code payments, digital wallets and local Alternative Payment Methods (APMs), such as PIX in Brazil and Oxxo in Mexico.

In collaboration with industry players such as PayPal (Nasdaq: PYPL) and Payoneer (Nasdaq: PAYO), Localpayment by Aleph meets the highest KYC (Know Your Customer) standards and compliance protocols.

UNITING DIGITAL ADVERTISING WITH SIMPLIFIED PAYMENT SOLUTIONS

This acquisition significantly enhances Aleph’s leadership in connecting digital advertising with simplified payment solutions across diverse sectors including streaming , digital media, collaborative economies, online commerce, SaaS, hospitality, travel, financial services and entertainment.

Key figures highlight the combined impact of the two companies: over US$3 billion in TPV (Total Payment Volume), more than 60 top-tier platforms and more than 26,000 advertisers, a single API (Application Programming Interface) with more than 640 payment methods, support for more than 70 currencies and presence in more than 130 countries.

PAYMENTS + MEDIA INTEGRATION

Aleph’s acquisition of Localpayment accelerates the redefinition of how businesses in industries such as streaming , e-commerce and digital media can operate by offering an integrated approach to payments and media.

By enabling customers to manage their payment flows while leveraging digital media, this agreement creates significant cost efficiencies and operational savings. Businesses can now streamline payment processing and digital advertising or inventory in one streamlined process.

Gastón Taratuta, CEO of Aleph, also said: “For almost two decades, we have focused on bridging the gap between leading adtech platforms and advertisers in emerging economies, creating an ecosystem where advertisers meet consumers. Now we are taking a natural next step by integrating payment processing capabilities. This marks a significant evolution for Aleph and reflects our belief in the continued shift from offline PIB to digital PIB, generating even more value for our partners and clients. We started in Latin America and plan to expand operations, not only organically, but also through acquisitions in Africa, the Middle East and Asia, where we already have a strong local presence.”

On the other hand, Ezequiel Israel, CEO of Localpayment, stated: “We are very excited to be part of Aleph’s journey and mission. This partnership accelerates our growth and gives us direct access to global digital platforms, brands and online retailers that Aleph has long been associated with, offering them a very attractive combined proposition.”
